Control Pros Review The Honeywell Variable Frequency Drive

Who makes the best Variable Frequency Drive? We thought the best way was to ask HVAC control pros and service techs that actually install and service variable frequency drives for a living. Last week Wes Ralston, who had never installed a VFD, talked about his experience as a first timer installing and setting up the Honeywell Variable Frequency Drive.
This week we got a completely different perspective from Mike Crews. Mike is the president and owner of HVAC Environmental Solutions and has installed thousands of drives; every VFD from ABB to Siemens. So what did Mike think of the Honeywell Variable Frequency Drive? Watch the video and see, I for one was surprised.

If you are a Control Pro, someone who works in the field, not a vendor, and would like to review a variable frequency drive, please respond in comments.

  1. Variable frequency drives are designed to be the fastest drives to install, set parameters, and commission. They are highly compact and cost effective. Equipped with cutting edge intelligence and safety capability these drives are designed specifically to meet the production and performance needs of system integrators, OEMs, and panel builders for a broad range of applications.

  2. screw microtransactions. All of those online games are crappy clones of each other anyways. I’d rather pay a cheaper subscription rather than the content than fund microtransactions. The reason why people are leaving WoW is your own devs are jerkoffs, the populace are snazzy jerk offs, and the game has basically turn into big instance grind upon gear.
