Fall into Stromquist Atlanta Classes

It’s that time again – school is back in session. These classes fill up quickly so get registered right away!  The below classes will be held at Stromquist at 4620 Atlanta Rd, Smyrna, GA. Price includes training material, certificate, plus breakfast and lunch (the half day Controller class does not include lunch).  Start time is 7:30 a.m.  Email nancy@stromquist.com for more information.

Chiller Workshop – October 8 & 9 – $350

This class focuses on basic operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of chilled water systems. Topics will include basic refrigeration cycle of water chillers; design and overall operation of chilled water systems; refrigerant types, handling and record keeping; pumps and piping systems; chiller plant optimization; chiller math and log analysis.

Basic Pneumatics – October 22 – $200

You will work hands-on with pneumatic equipment to learn fundamentals of pneumatic controls. The class will cover limit controls, P.E. switches, solenoid valves, relays, valve and damper operations, and thermostats.

VAV and PIU Fundamentals – October 23 – $200

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of VAV and PIU boxes. You will get to practice on equipment and troubleshoot given hypothetical problems. Instruction covers velocity formulas, CFMs, and static pressures.

Intro to Controllers – October 24 – $75

This half day class (7:30—11:30)* will give an overview of different HVAC controllers and how they communicate across a network. You will learn about communication protocols, the difference between programmable and configurable, and different product types that are available and what they offer.
