Niagara 4 Hierarchies

Join Lynxspring for the next “30 Minutes with Lynxspring”, their monthly webinar series hosted by Lynxspring subject matter experts and special guests scheduled. Due to schedules, this month’s session will take place on Wednesday, March 22nd at 12:00 PM CST.

Amanda Toomey, IEC Developer and a member of Lynxspring’s Training Team will look at Niagara 4 Hierarchies. She will examine all facets of creating a user-friendly data-model-based navigation tree in Niagara 4, using the new hierarchies feature. She will cover simple hierarchy creation as well as each of the level definitions along with how and when to use them.

Amanda will discuss how to scope the hierarchy results and display only those results that they want to show the end user. Finally, they will cover advanced topics like using the Context query to create a layered tree that organizes itself based on the results of other queries. They will also review how custom tags and relations can play a part in creating the navigation scheme. There will be examples of each of the covered topics, as well as an opportunity for a live demonstration and a Q&A at the end of the session.
