Ranco’s ETC controls offer a fully-featured electronic replacement for electrical-mechanical temperature controls used in many commercial refrigeration applications. With its wide temperature range, one- and two-stage capability, selectable heating/cooling modes and multi-voltage input, the ETC is designed to provide application flexibility. The ETC is one of the most versatile temperature controls available. Unlike many electronic controls, the ETC is simple to install and set up. One finger is all you need to program it. The standard digital display and keypad allow you to adjust the temperature settings with 1° resolution. Setpoint temperature, differential and mode of operation (heating or cooling) can all be selected using the keypad and display.
When not in the programming mode, the display gives a constant readout of the sensor temperature and shows when the relay is energized. On two stage controls, each stage can be set independently to eliminate the task of calculating interstage temperatures. And two stage models can be set up with overlapping heating or cooling stages.
The ETC is capable of remote temperature sensing up to 400 feet away from the control when using standard 22 gauge sensor wire. Every ETC model is equipped with diagnostic programs that check for hardware, software or system problems and display different error codes to indicate where the trouble is. The ETC also has a keypad lockout switch to prevent tampering with the control settings.

Gentlemen, do you offer a temperature control that is a high to low temp with a remote setpoint changing capability? We need to wire this device close to our refrigeraton compressor contactor, but we would like to be able to change the setpoint programming from far away.

Do you have a Building Automated System in the building where the refrigeration unit is located? If Yes then Rock & Roll. If not then see below.
1. installing a stand alone controller ( device) that can act as your temperature control that is a high to low temp with a remote setpoint.
2. Getting communication to the device is where it gets tricky and is why I asked if you have a BAS. For a stand alone device you would need to run communication wires to the device for the stand alone controller to communicate with you remotely.
I will ask a salesman to see what Stromquist can do for you.

Here is some info for you that I hope will help. Stromquist carries many of these products. When I have purchased from them. It has always been good service.
Honeywell Industrial has controllers that mount through the panel door. The UDC1200 series is a 1/16 DIN controller and the UDC2500 is a ¼ DIN controller. Either one could be ordered for a single loop control, manual reset or auto control, remote set point via 4-20mA input. You have to know up front if you want an automatic controller or a manual reset controller.
