What’s the big deal about vent free gas regulators? What’s the hubbub concerning CSA-Certifications? Why is Stromquist, in the words of Eric Stromquist, “pumped” about Pietro Fiorentini gas regulators?
These are questions that are asked on a daily basis, so I want to address them and shed some light on the true facts about Pietro Fioentini gas regulators, known as PF gas regulators by our staff.
User-friendly in terms of function and installation, PF gas regulators are designed for the United States market with contractors and distributors in mind. Over the years the contractor and distributor have been faced with many costly and difficult situations concerning the venting of gas regulators. Manufacturers addressed this problem with the development of vent free gas regulators, which worked nicely over the years, but restrictions such as regulator capacities and available sizes have not been keeping up with today’s needs — until the introduction of the PF regulator.
No longer is your client restricted to low capacities and small sizes. The PF regulators are available in sizes from ½” pipe to 4” flanged with CSA Certified capacities to 40,000,000 BTUs per hour at a 2 psi inlet pressure. Let that sink in for a moment. With this type of a regulator selection to choose from, no longer will new roofs lose their warranty because vent lines need to be punched through, no longer will construction or installation costs skyrocket because costly vent lines need to be run, no longer will costly installation materials to make up these vent lines need to be purchased, and no longer will excess gas be escaping in our over-burdened atmosphere, which will allow us to be GREENER.
Pietro Fiorentini gas regulators are CSA Certified and approved for Class 1 and Class 2 installations. Class 1 installation means a gas regulator with a maximum inlet pressure of 2 psi and a gas outlet pressure of 14” water column maximum. Class 2 installation means a gas regulator with a maximum inlet pressure of 5 psi and a gas outlet pressure of 2 psi maximum. Always check with your local codes for any other requirements.
Bottom line, let’s look at what makes money: supplying a product that saves us money, reduces our cost of installation and materials, reduces our inventory, and increases our ability to service our clients with the newest approved technology.
Now you know why Stromquist is “pumped” about the PF gas regulator. Even more, this 90% recyclable gas regulator is not just GREEN, it’s the color of money GREEN.
