Jason Mayo, a member of our Technical Support Team, will share best practices for performing a factory reset for a PC-8000 or a JACE® 8000 and review using Web Start.
When it comes to the PC-8000 or any JACE® 8000, the reset process is different than with legacy controllers. Previous versions of Niagara’s “JACE-8000 Install Startup Guide” have been revised and have led to changing the process slightly. Jason will cover the new procedure. When it comes to Web Start, he will show you what you need to know to launch a Workbench environment outside of a browser. Now that browsers have ended their support of Java plugins, the only way to run Niagara wbApplets is locally, using Web Start. It’s easy to do and Jason will show you how.
