What is one of the fastest growing industries that needs a lot of controls and control strategies? Well, I will give you a hint: the product is grown in green houses, and the lights, temperature, humidity and CO2 must be spot on. Companies like EASY IO have stepped up to the plate with the control side of the solution. Blue Ridge Technologies can get you dialed in on the lighting, but what about the CO2 monitoring? Here is what you need to know…. [Read more…]

Sensors need to be checked and maintained on a periodic basis, especially gas sensors. ACI’s Tech Support Engineer Dave Weise shows us how to Bump Test the Q5/B5 Gas Sensor. [Read more…]
I am a video nerd, I believe that if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a well-done video gives you everything you need to know to make a good decision and is enjoyable to watch. Our friends at ACI have nailed it on two fronts: 1) the A/WPR is an amazingly easy to install and configure wet to wet differential pressure transmitter and 2) they have created a captivating and informative video to communicate all you need to know about the product without saying a word! I could say more, but just check out the video. [Read more…]
ACI’s TEMPERATURE WEBINAR FEATURING TRANSMITTERS AUGUST 16|10:30 A.M. CST. The ACI 2017 Webinar Series continues Wednesday, August 16th. ACI’s Sales Engineer, Brant Kasbohm, will discuss the differences between ACI’s Temperature Transmitter models. During the webinar, Brant plans to highlight the important differences between Class A & Class B RTDs while diving into details regarding our transmitters and their improved accuracies. Brant will also cover ACI’s NIST Certification process and why it’s a key component in the overall performance and long term reliability of our temperature transmitters.

ControlTrends had the opportunity to visit with Barry Gordon, Senior Sales Engineer at ACI, who was excited to tell us about ACI’s new DLP Low Pressure Transmitter. The DLP Series is based on a piezoresistive, silicon sensing element which senses Differential Pressure and provides an analog output. The hinged cover on the DLP can be easily opened using the integrated locking tab on the side of the enclosure. This allows for easy access to the zero function and field selectable ranges and outputs. The DLP Series also includes an optional five digit, easy to read display which aids in initial setup/installation, troubleshooting, and local monitoring. The cord grip fitting provides strain relief and easy access to the color coded, spring loaded terminal blocks. Another well-engineered product from ACI!
ACI is combining all the best features from multiple products to create an all-encompassing differential pressure option that should make a huge impact! Every aspect of this product was analyzed and designed to maximize the value it will present to you!
Industry trends point towards increasing the accuracy on front-line monitoring devices such as measuring building static pressure. The standard accuracy for the DLP Series is +/- 0.50% but can be specified to 0.25%. Field adjustable ranges and outputs broaden the applications each unit will cover. In addition, the newly designed enclosure is attractive, robust, provides easy access, and is quick to install.
Other highlights include: * Field Selectable Pressure Ranges * Ranges from 0.1″ to 40″ w.c. * Uni and Bi-Directional Ranges * Field Selectable Outputs * Zero Function * Optional, Large LCD Display * Pitot Tube/Din Rail Accessories * 1/2″ NPT Conduit Knockout * Push Down / Spring Terminal Blocks * Durable Polycarbonate Enclosure * Optional, N.I.S.T Certification * Fewer SKU’s / Reduced Inventory
