Looking to do a VVT Retrofit? Our friends at KMC Controls offer several easy, cost effective ways for the control pro to get the job done.
Stromquist & Company’s Dozier Mills breakdowns the products from ProLon and shows you how to install the Prolon solution for either VAV or VVT applications. As you can see this is a very powerful and easy to install solution.
ProLon is a commercial/high-end residential HVAC zoning system designed specifically for retrofit and modern day rooftops and other air handling units along with their VAV zones. ProLon’s controllers are perfect for light to mid-sized commercial buildings, allowing you to group and prioritize zones to achieve the optimal performances and comfort from your equipment. ProLon products allow easy to use remote access that lets you outlook and manage your system from anywhere through a simple internet connection.
ProLon Focus is our FREE proprietary software, which lets you visualize and configure your entire zoning system in a user-friendly environment. No fees, no yearly licenses, no hassle. Also, Prolonlive is the new free web service allowing web access to any ProLon system using a smartphone or a tablet.
ProLon remains simple to use for both installer and user. The accessible yet powerful management capabilities coupled with advanced control sequences allows ProLon to fill the gap between entry-level zoning panels and full-fledged building automation systems (DDC).
Are you looking for an easy to use and configure zoning system — that has the capabilities of a much more complex zoning system? We caught up with Angie Jarvis and the team from ProLon at the 2015 CGNA Vendor Showcase and ProLon just might have the answer! Check this video out and see just how easy it is to set up a zoning system. Reach out to your local CGNA controls distributor and try ProLon on your next zoning job.
KMC has introduced a significantly improved system for either retrofitting older VVT-type systems or installing new light-commercial zoning systems. KMC’s Zone Equipment Control (ZEC) system consists of a special model of KMC’s award-winning Flexstat unitary controller along with up to 16 KMC SimplyVAV controllers for pressure-independent VAV control in their respective zones without the need for software.
The new BAC-120063CW-ZEC FlexStat controls common commercial packaged unitary equipment and automatically switches between heating and cooling control based on local zone demands. The ZEC controller automatically discovers and communicates with the associated SimplyVAV controllers via the integral BACnet MS/TP network to provide integration of the entire system. Additionally, it can also provide a 0-10 VDC static pressure setpoint signal to an optional KMC CSP-4702 pressure controller used with the system for pressure bypass control.
A local VVT zone is converted to pressure-independent operation with the insertion of a KMC SSS-1000 series differential pressure flow sensor, and the local zone is operated by the SimplyVAV terminal unit controller.
With no software required, the ZEC system is quick and user-friendly to install and configure. Yet it also communicates with any Building Automation System using a BACnet network for monitoring and additional control options.
