Tridium Expands Niagara AX Certification Program: Appoints Controlco as Newest Certified Training Partner

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA February 28, 2013 —Tridium, Inc. today announced that Controlco of Oakland, California has completed the Train-the-Trainer program to become qualified as the newest NiagaraAX Certified Training partner.

Meeting Tridium’s NiagaraAX technical certification requirements for delivering and administering NiagaraAX Certification, Controlco is now authorized to provide training to Systems Integrators and Contractors in the building automation, energy services, power/utility, and industrial sectors and assist them in gaining the level of technical expertise necessary to effectively and efficiently design, engineer, and program projects using the NiagaraAX Framework.

Through 8 months of preparation, practice, and delivery Jeff Hunter, Training Director at Controlco, has completed the requirements to become a NiagaraAX Certified Trainer. Controlco has invested in new Training Demo Panels, computers, and Niagara software so that each student has a complete training workstation.

Tridium’s Train-the-Trainer program seeks to reproduce both the content and the quality of NiagaraAX Certification as if the student had come directly to Tridium to be trained. When someone takes a Certification Class from Controlco, they are attending a class that is equivalent to coming to Tridium, and they will receive the exact same certificate issued by Tridium, Inc.

“We are excited to become a NiagaraAX Certified Trainer”, said Jeff Hunter. “The interest and demand for NiagaraAX continues to expand and we are committed to ensuring that customers obtain the highest value possible from their deployments of the software and have a complete understanding of NiagaraAX.”

“We are thrilled to have Controlco as our newest Certified Training Partner”, said Mike Luscombe, Vice President of Professional Services for Tridium. “This appointment allows us to expand the number of proficient users on the NiagaraAX platform and provides us with the opportunity to expand our training programs”.

To date, Controlco has scheduled three NiagaraAX Certification classes at their headquarters in Oakland, California, on April 29-May3, August 19-23, and November 4-8. Controlco is available to do on-site training as well.
