Lynxspring’s eNews July 2021 Update: Smart Technology. Smart Equipment. Smart Solutions. Smarter Buildings.

Welcome to Lynxspring's eNews, July 2021 Update where we share product updates, upcoming events, and useful information.

Dear Lynxspring Technology and Business Partners,

The number of deployed instances of Niagara has now exceeded 1,000,000, indeed an industry milestone. Thank you for your part and contributions in making this happen.

AX End-of-Life – The end-of-life for Niagara AX is now upon us which means sales of AX license options are no longer available; replacements for legacy JENEs/JACEs have ended; and there are no more version fixes for defects and cyber issues.

Current Niagara versions available on JENEsys® PC 8000 controllers are 4.7, 4.9 and 4.10.

Current Niagara versions available on all JENEsys Edge® controllers are 4.6, 4.7 and 4.9. We expect version 4.10 to be available soon.

Remember, all Niagara licenses from Lynxspring are open NiCS and open licensing which means they can be connected to and managed by any Niagara-based tool or system without the need to modify the license structure.

Earlier this year we introduced Onyxx LX™, a new portfolio of BACnet® enabled configurable ASC controllers, digital room sensors and thermostats. They natively support BACnet MS/TP, are BTL listed, and are both UL and ETL certified. The devices are factory delivered with application programs on-board and are Niagara Framework® configurable. Have you gotten your demo kit yet? We held the first in a series of online training classes on June 29th with additional ones being scheduled.

Bits, Bytes and Pieces

Amid the COVID-19 recovery, the global market for building operating technology and controls is still expected to experience considerable growth. The market is projected to grow from USD 66.3 billion in 2020 to USD 108.9 billion by 2025, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10.5% during the forecast period. Further, according to Memoori Smart Building Research, the number of connected devices in operation in the commercial smart building’s vertical will grow from 1.7 billion in 2020 to just under 3 billion by 2025 representing a CAGR of 10.8%. Sensors and devices to track occupancy movement and analytics look to experience some the highest rates of growth over the forecast period at 14% per annum.

Did you know that over 4 MILLION buildings, in the U.S. alone, rely on rooftop units for building comfort and healthy environments? It is estimated that over half of these buildings do not have regular HVAC service or a connection to a building automation system.

By 2025, a predicted 56 billion connected IoT devices will be scattered across the planet, with the edge generating more than 75% of all enterprise data.
