Clemson University: Niels Stauersbol Explains 20% Energy Saving and Saving Polar Bears


Another Product highlight from Johnson Controls’ Niels Stauersbol. Small changes achieved big impact for energy conscious Clemson University, who is committed to energy conservation as a means of reducing its environmental footprint. This pilot project by Johnson Controls installed wireless occupancy sensors to better control lighting and HVAC equipment in one of the university’s dormitories. The result was a 20% energy savings, rapid return on investment, and no negative impact on student residents — and the reduction of the environmental footprint, may go a long way in saving polar bears
