Control Talk Interviews System Tech Services

If you have ever wondered what a true systems integrator looks like check out this video interview with Brad Hodgkins from System Tech Services. System Tech Services located in Orlando Florida is one of the top hvac controls integrators and mechanical contractors in the country.

I had a chance to sit down with Brad and discuss how Tridium and open systems have changed the building automation controls industry forever. It is one thing to talk about integrating different control systems

but to actually see it right in front of your eyes is really amazing. To see the test board at System Tech Services with all the different brands of ddc controls including Honeywell, Johnson, Trane, Distech communicating on the same network speaking different control languages from BacNet to Lon, to Modbus is mind blowing.

Brad was very gracious in sharing how building owners and engineers can take advantage of these new technologies to maximize energy savings and reduce cost of ownership. We discussed several best practices including recommissioning which is one of the most important processes for today’s buildings. I was blown away to see how System Tech Services takes this concept to the next level with a process they call “continual commissioning”.

I was very impressed with System Tech Services. They know their stuff and do quality work. As Brad says, “We fix low bid.” In fact, Robert Towe the founder of System Tech Services told me that most of System Tech Services loyal customers started out as victims of a low bid solution that did not yield the results promised or specified.

Thanks again to Brad, Robert and the rest of the team at System Tech Services for sharing the perspectives of a world class systems integrator.
