Doug Wylie will be speaking with us about two confirmed examples of attacks on ICS systems, with a wealth of information on each of them.  Please join us to learn what took place, what can be done to prevent similar events happening in your ICS environment, and to share what you have seen as well.

BOOM BOOM (OUT GO THE LIGHTS): A LOOK AT TWO CONFIRMED ATTACKS ON ICS AND HOW WE CAN PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE

What happened to a German Steel Mill in 2014 and the Ukrainian Power Grid in December 2015?  This short presentation will highlight how these two highly-notable industrial cybersecurity attacks led directly to the disruption, physical damage and destruction of real-world industrial control systems. Following the slide presentation, a panel with the audience will discuss the current state of cyber security for industry, and what best-practices are proving most effective to help reduce risk and ensure safety, security and operational integrity of mission-critical systems.

Check-in will open at 6:30 pm, with presentation and discussion starting at 7:00.  We have the space until 9:00 for those who want to stay and network the night away.

Many thanks to Stromquist and Company for providing our site, Trinet for our refreshments, and our sponsors KPMG, SANS ICS and NexDefense!
