Belimo Energy Valve™ - Decreasing Carbon Footprint & Increasing Energy Efficiency

Please join us on Aug. 19 at 1:00 PM (Eastern Time) to discuss how state and global energy initiatives drive the need for more efficient products in HVAC systems to help reduce carbon footprint and energy consumption. Learn about the impact of these initiatives on buildings and why Belimo Energy Valve is an excellent solution for building owners to increase energy efficiency and decrease their carbon footprint.

How to Save Money by Understanding the Effects of Glycol on HVAC Systems Efficiency

Upcoming ASHRAE & Belimo webinar; join us on Sept. 10, at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time) for a discussion on saving money by understanding the effects of glycol in an HVAC system. Every year too much energy is wasted because of inefficient HVAC glycol concentration. During this webinar, you’ll learn the fundamentals of heat transfer and ways to measure, how glycol is used in HVAC systems, the influence of glycol on the measurement of heat, and how important it is to monitor glycol concentration continually.

Belimo New Releases

New Outdoor and Indoor Light Sensors

New light sensor models EXT-TN-1071511 and EXT-TN-1066869 are now available. These items are not available on the Belimo website and do not appear in the 2020 PGPL. For ordering or technical information, please contact Belimo Customer Service at +1 800-543-9038.

Belimo’s outdoor light sensor is designed for grow farms, greenhouses, warehouses, and industrial applications. The EXT-TN-1071511 sensor is available with 0…10V output over three field selectable sensitivity scales from 0…50K Lux (4,645 foot-candles). This sensor transmits the ambient brightness to the BMS, which can control powered light levels in the space for energy-saving strategies such as daylight harvesting. The sensor is NEMA 4 and IP65 rating for harsh conditions.

The EXT-TN-1066869 indoor model provides a low profile ceiling mounted multi-sensor designed for measuring motion and light in spaces to optimize energy efficiency. The 360° passive infrared occupancy sensor with relay output is for occupancy detection in a room or office space. Seamless integration to the BMS allows energy savings by controlling the space temperature to the unoccupied setpoint. The sensor offers 0…10V output from 0…1K Lux (93 foot-candles) with a green filter photodiode which detects the ambient brightness levels, enabling the BMS to control powered light levels within the space.

Belimo Expands Voltage Range of ZoneTight Zone Valves

The ZoneTight Zone Valve range has been expanded to include additional line voltage electronic fail-safe actuator operation for pressure dependent QCV, pressure independent PIQCV, and a retrofit solution for zoning applications.

The CQKB(X)UP actuator series offer electronic fail-safe functionality, On/Off control, AC 100…230 V universal power supply, and UL certification. The new available actuator models include:
• CQKBUP-RR (Normal Close / Fail Close (NC/FC))
• CQKBUP-LL (Normal Open / Fail Open (NO/FO))
• CQKXUP (Factory clip setting, cable option, NC/FC or NO/FO as ordered)

QCV Assembly

The ultra-compact QCV leads the way in Belimo’s new generation of room and zone solutions equipped with a space-saving 2‑way or 3-way ball valve. Read more

PIQCV Assembly

The PIQCV combines a differential pressure regulator with a 2-way control valve to supply a specific flow for each degree of ball opening regardless of system pressure fluctuations performing the function of a balancing valve and control valve in one unit. Read more

CQB24-3_Retro Fit 1b

The CQK actuator series combined with the UBLK retrofit kits are replacement solutions for existing failed actuators on TACO Zone Sentry® zone valves, Schneider Electric™ VBB ball valves, or TAC Erie™ VM zone valves. Restores service quickly without removing the valve, saving on installation and downtime while increasing performance and efficiency.
