Auto-download of Java security policy files
What is Java Web Start?
Java Web Start is an Oracle technology which is part of the Java Runtime Environment. The Release AX-3.8.u1 offers an alternative to running the Workbench applet in a web browser by providing an application which can be launched by Java Web Start. The main advantage of Web Start is that, it removes the need for the use of the Java plug-in. This Web Start is browser-independent and is an efficient way to deploy web application solutions. During the installation, the software provides an applet-like workbench environment that runs completely outside the Java application.
Value Proposition
When a legacy controller (AX based 300E/600E/700) is replaced by WEB-8xxx controller, AX-3.8.u1 software supports this controller and works seamlessly with the rest of WEBs-AX software network.
Continue to use AX based software until you have all your 3rd party modules migrated to N4 software framework.
A no cost upgrade to existing users of WEBs-AX 3.8 software.
Java Web Start eliminates the java plug-in issues on the client side of the computer.
Automatically downloads the required java security files when the system is on-line.
By supporting Microsoft’s Windows 10 Operating system, the software will be compatible to all newer computers.
