Day 2’s General Session featured Bran Ferren. Few people understand more about nurturing ideas and waiting for the world to understand them than Bran Ferren. Bran is an American technologist, engineer, scientist, entrepreneur, and inventor. 7.5 billion people and 7 billion cell phones in use. John Sublett, CTO, Tridium, reviewed the incredible and pervasive growth of technology referencing the two papal events that took place at the Vatican in 2003, in which one flip phone is in use in the audience versus the 2013 event, where every person had a smart phone and was photographing or videoing the papal event.
