The EasyIO-FW-14 is a new breed, high performance, freely programmable, wireless Wi-Fi Sedona controller. It has never been easier to extend your BMS because of its wireless possibilities. You will save on labor and wiring. The EasyIO-FW-14 is a perfect fit for vertical markets such as schools and retail, to have extended IO for the F-series controllers, without any downtime during installation as the network can be wireless. It’s ideal for all kind of applications such as fan coils, AHU’s, room and stand-alone applications, featuring SOX, TCOM, FGP2P and BACnet communication protocols.
The EasyIO-FW-14 can be programmed and live commissioned via free CPT Tools and an integrated HMTL5 dashboard. It has BACnet IP server, a BACnet MSTP client supporting up to four external BACnet server devices and two Ethernet ports for daisy chain connection wiring. Furthermore, it can also have the built-in Wi-Fi infrastructure connected at the same time as the Ethernet ports for network redundancy. Wired and wireless deployment is encouraged, so there is no need to worry about IT. The EasyIO-FW-14 includes 8 UI (voltage and resistance), 4 x AO (Voltage) and 2 x DO with 24VAC volt free contact relays. For floating control, the optional FR-02 module is available to add to the FW-14.

Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) Number: DE-FOA-0001518: The Building Technologies Office (BTO) has announced the availability of $6.5 million for DE-FOA-0001518, “Scaling Up the Next Generation of Building Efficiency Packages.” BTO seeks proposals driving innovation in real building technology demonstrations while also fostering the collaboration of dynamic demonstration teams. The General Services Administration (GSA) Green Proving Ground program is a key collaborator, will participate in the review committee, and offer demonstration host sites.

Contemporary Controls Plugging in from New Hampshire, at the 2016 BACnet International Plugfest. October 2016 – The BACnet International Plugfest 2016 at the InterOperability Lab at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire gave attendees the opportunity to live test new products and features. The conference, for manufacturers of BACnet products, allows attendees to test their BACnet products with BACnet devices from other attendees in a neutral and friendly environment. “One of the benefits of attending PlugFest is the chance to test new products,” said Mingshu Wang, an engineer at Contemporary Controls. “We attend PlugFest every year because it gives us a unique chance to see how our products interact with those from another company.”
