BELIMO America Donated $20,000 to the Sandy Hook Relief Fund

Columbus, Ohio- BELIMO America, a Danbury based manufacturer of damper actuators and control valves used in heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems has donated $20,000 to the United Way Sandy Hook School Support Fund. 100% of the amount will be committed to providing support and resources where and when they become identified and needed.

BELIMO employs more than 350 employees in the US; 260 are based in Danbury. Many employees live or have friends or family in Newtown. All Belimo employees extend their most sincere condolences and prayers to all those families affected by the devastating events in Newtown/Sandy Hook.

“With donating to the Sandy Hook Relief Fund, Belimo employees hope that this will motivate and encourage other companies and individuals to continue to go above and beyond to make Newtown and the Greater Danbury area even stronger” states Lars van der Haegen, President of Belimo Americas.

BELIMO also is known for their successful program with Ability Beyond Disability, a non-profit organization which helps disabled individuals gain greater independence through training and job placement and employees more than 40 employees at their Danbury location.

BELIMO is building a new 195.000 square foot building for their American headquarters at Turner Road in Danbury. The building incorporates offices, Belimo University Training Center, Valve development laboratory, warehousing, production and customizing as well space to better accommodate employees from Ability Beyond Disability.
