VYKON Honored with multiple awards at Inaugural ControlTrends Awards

Richmond, VA – February 18, 2013– VYKON, a leading provider of intelligent building automation and control solutions, received two significant honors at the inaugural Control Trends Awards held in conjunction with the AHR Expo in Dallas, TX.

VYKON was named Building Automation System of the Year. Ed Merwin, Director of VYKON Automation Energy Security, accepted the award. “To be selected from such a prestigious selection of companies is recognition of the hard work the VYKON community of integrators, distributors and developers who support us and our customers,” said Merwin. “Our customers value the advanced open technology, open distribution, and superior customer experience that VYKON provides.” “Everyone is the VYKON community should consider themselves a recipient of this award.”

VYKON’s James Johnson received the Most Valuable Support Person of the Year. “Receiving this award from my industry peers and colleagues is an incredible honor,” said Johnson. “The award is recognition of the entire VYKON team who support our channel.”

Johnson has been working for VYKON for the last seven years as a product support specialist, providing support for the sales team and VYKON’s channel of systems integrators and distributors. He is also involved in product development for VYKON.

The Control Trends Awards, presented for the first time in 2013, honor companies, products, technologies and persons within the HVAC and Building Automation industry. The awards are specific to the HVAC, controls and building automation industry. Nominees are selected and voted on by the people within the industry.
