Honeywell Commercial Training 2009

I just returned from Honeywell’s Commercial Training in Golden Valley, MN.  The training went over thermostats, temperature controllers, sensors, mod motors, valves, dampers, and their new VFDs.  The class has a great hands on component to it now that they have added “Frankenstein” as a teaching tool.  Some smart folks in the Environmental and Combustion Controls group built a plexiglass demo that replicates a building with multiple zones to demonstrate different products and technologies.  Since Frankenstein is clear, you can see how the dampers react to changes in the heat load or set point.  We gained a deeper understanding of how the commercial components work and the training will certainly help us when selecting products for our customers.
